Pocatello schools will be out of session March 6 for Record Day, so youth members of our community are invited to spend the day skiing or boarding at Pebble Creek.  This is a heavily subsidized program that PSSA puts on each year to promote youth skiing and boarding in this area.  Because we are not offering PSSA memberships this year, we are charging local youth $30 for Aspen-only (beginner hill) lift tickets, and $40 for all-mountain lift tickets.  

The program includes a lift ticket, equipment rentals, and $10 meal voucher (for online signups).  You may get your rental equipment either from the Pebble Creek rental shop Friday morning, or better yet, avoid the hassle, pick it up the day before at Barrie’s Ski and Sports and take advantage of their end-of-season sale in case you need gloves, goggles, etc.

While parents are welcome and encouraged to ski with their kids, the subsidized prices are only for youth 17 and under.

Please note:
While sign-ups WILL be allowed at the check-in desk until 10:30 Friday morning, we cannot guarantee that rental equipment will be available at the ski area on a last-minute basis.  Also, we must inform Barrie’s of all rental requests by Thursday noon.

If you plan to sign up at the hill, please bring cash or check. The only way to pay via credit card is through the PSSA online system.

The check-in table for this program will be located in the Lodge. On the morning of March 6, please come to the PSSA table to check in and to receive your lift ticket and meal voucher. Note, we will only be able to check people in between 8:45 and 11:00 a.m. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

If you have requested any rentals from Pebble Creek, you will have to fill out a new form in the rental shop.  It needs to be signed by an adult.  Please remember, these rentals at Pebble are available on a first-come, first serve basis.  Availability IS NOT GARANTEED.

If you have requested any free rentals from Barrie’s, your name will be forwarded to Barrie’s and they will be expecting you.  Also, for Barrie’s rentals, make sure you retrieve your stuff from the hill before leaving!  It needs returned the same day.

NOTE: PSSA does NOT provide transportation to or from the ski area for this event.
