PSSA has arranged for a ski club lift ticket discount day at Pomerelle Ski Area on Monday, February 21 (Presidents’ Day). This will be a “U-Drive” trip. PSSA will not provide bus transportation. Driving from Pocatello to Pomerelle takes about 1 1/2 hours. The trip coordinator can help to arrange car pools.
This trip will be great for families, but other PSSA youth and adult members are also welcome. Due to its higher elevation, Pomerelle usually has some of the best snow in Idaho, and it offers easier, more welcoming terrain than the upper part of our local mountain.
Pomerelle Day Trip Pricing
Free for Under 7
$32 for Youth (7-12)
$42 for Adult (13+)
(Note: prices may be reduced slightly if we get enough people signed up.
Also, there might be a discount for age 70+.)
Pomerelle has gone to the RFID (Radio Frequency ID) cards loaded with lift ticket data, in the place of paper tickets. If you already have a Pomerelle RFID card, great! Otherwise the will be a $5 charge to buy one. They are good for this entire season, and maybe for future seasons.
Trip Coordinator: Scott Lambson 208-240-5690
How to sign up for this trip:
AT LEAST 24 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL Feb. 21, go to the Pomerelle website to sign up AND PAY for your lift tickets and RFID cards, to sign waivers for youth participants, etc.:
When the Pomerelle webpage comes up, scroll to the bottom and click on the “Groups” option. (Be patient– it takes a minute or two to load the page.) From the pull down select the PSSA line for your age and add it to your cart. Proceed with the checkout.
- When you get to Pomerelle the morning of Feb. 21, if you already have RFID cards for everyone in your group, just go to the lifts… the RFID cards were loaded with your Feb. 21 lift tickets when you paid on the Pomerelle website. If you purchased new RFID cards, you will go to the pass pick-up window to receive your RFID cards with the Feb. 21 lift tickets already loaded. You will probably need to provide identification at the window.
