The 2020-2021 ski season will be quite different from the ones in the past, and hopefully from the ones in the future. Like many of our ski area partners who are implementing precautions to keep skiers and boarders active but safe, PSSA is adjusting plans for the current pandemic environment. After careful consideration, the PSSA Board has decided that the risk of bus trips to regional ski areas is too great during the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, Jackson Hole has informed us that their heavily discounted lift ticket vouchers will not be available this year. We are currently looking at the possibility of trips where we provide discounted lift tickets and lodging, but you drive to the resort.
In normal years we offer our members:
- One-day and weekend chartered bus trips to nearby ski areas, such as Grand Targhee, Jackson Hole, Big Sky, Powder Mountain, and Snow Basin
- One or two free ski days at Pebble Creek Ski Area for our PSSA youth members
- Heavily discounted vouchers for Jackson Hole lift tickets
- Discounts on Grand Targhee lift tickets
- A coupon book with great discounts at Pebble Creek, local ski shops, and and many of our other local merchants
- Automatic membership in the following ski councils:
A PSSA Youth Day at Pebble Creek is now scheduled for Friday, February 26. This program includes a lift ticket, equipment rentals, and $10 meal voucher. The cost is $15 per youth participant. (The remaining cost is subsidized by PSSA.)
We will continue to give our current PSSA members a 2020-2021 season PSSA coupon book. This coupon book includes a 10% discount on lift tickets for Grand Targhee.
Given our limited offerings this year, we will extend the membership from 2019-2020 into the 2020-2021 season. In other words, if you were a PSSA member in 2019-2020, you will automatically become a current season member with no additional fee. You may pick up your 2020-2021 season PSSA coupon books at Barrie’s Ski and Sports after Nov. 9, 2020.
If you were not a PSSA member last season, but would still like to join the club in order to obtain a coupon book, you may purchase a 2020-2021 season PSSA membership and pick up your coupon book at Barrie’s Ski and Sports after Nov. 9, 2020.
